The Chinese press previously reported that the “2011 Dream Concert” would be held at an Olympic-size stadium in Beijing. Fan boards and other K-pop sites buzzed about the seemingly-stellar lineup for this year’s concert, but as it turns out, these details were false.
Allegedly, the “2011 Dream Concert” was to play in Beijing on August 8th. The lineup boasted participation from artists like Super Junior, SNSD, 2PM, JYJ, Big Bang, After School, B2ST, 4minute, and Lee Hyori. Many more were included in the list, and K-pop fans were wildly enthusiastic about the wide lineup.
However, it’s been confirmed by the Korean Entertainment Association (the annual organizers of the event) that the concert will not be held in Beijing. They have stated that the ”2011 Dream Concert” will be held in Korea sometime in May.
The official lineup has yet to be released.

Straight set of teeth, bright smile, and above all, a good-natured pair of eyes… SS501’s member Kim KyuJong is like a little prince. He did not lose his humbleness even when he is a star who receives the spotlights on himself on the stage. His mind as it is, is like hidden in one word, in one smile.
A member of SS501, Kim KyuJong took a step forward in order to become an actor. Even when he made his determination to become a singer cum ‘actor’, he said “The preparation time was short” “I still have much lackings” “Won’t do if I am impatient right?”, etc showing his thoughts without any pretense.
“I am shy to be standing in front of fans who are looking at me and cheering for me. Thank you for loving me who is still lacking in many ways. But I will not be shy in the future. Because I am planning to work hard consistently and make up to my lacking.”
Kim KyuJong, like what he said, has been focusing on acting lessons since last year. He does it ahead of time, and he sweats (works hard) to return to the beginning before he regrets. “We thought of releasing SS501’s album within this year, but we don’t know how it will go yet. All of us are so busy. YoungSaeng hyung and I have been advising each other so we met frequently. A : Now in the process of selecting songs from the candidates. I have not yet decided the contents. I received roughly 300 candidate songs. I will select 5~6 songs till the end of December.
Q2: Any tips for Japanese fans who are anxiously awaiting your album ?
A : Well, the dance numbers are focused. I would like to write some lyrics by myself, though I still wonder I can compose a song or not. I will include a Japanese version as well. The album will have a variety, a China version, Taiwan version, to be addressed to the Asia. As I will upgrade performance as well as vocal, I would like to promote showcase activities. I will do my best so that I will be able to have a promotional showcase in Japan.
Q3 : You previously talked that you were composing songs by playing a guitar, or piano in your private studio at home. How about your recent music activities?
A : As I am too much occupied that I cannot have such a private time. In order to prepare for my solo album, I would like to have a dance lesson first. For that purpose, a famous dancer is coming from NY , who choreographed for Usher Raymond IV(R&B singer), Justine Timberlake, and Ne-Yo. I will take a private dance lesson from him.
Q4: Wow, we can expect a genuine dance performance !
A : Yes, please look forward to seeing it. Therefore, I would like to challenge to guitar, or composing songs after I upgrade my dance performance to the level I feel satisfied.
Q5: Recently, Kpop is getting more and more popular. How do you feel about it?
A: I am very happy that many Korean activists are active in Japan, getting high reputation now. Though the center of the popular artists are now boys group as well as girls groups, I would like to make my best efforts by myself so that I can prove that Korean solo artists are fantastic.
Q6: Wow, it increases our expection !What kind of music, do you aim?
A: The music I would like to aim is “ performance music “ . With fusion of music, dance, and a beautiful video art, I would like to show audiovisual performance which stimulates sense of vision and hearing.
Q7: What kind of film or audiovisual, do you like the best?
A: First of all, I like SF. Among recent films, I like “Transformer” and “Avatar” .
I am interested in that kind of vision.
Q8: Do you think of creating something, reflecting such SF-like audiovisual into your MV?
A: Yes, that is right ! My MV will be something new and very unique one, being inspired by those creations. I have something in my mind now. When you have my next album in your hand, you will understand, “ This is what Hyun Joong wanted to realize !”
Q9: From now on, you are going to expand your activities to Japan, China, Taiwan and so on, to the global world. What you would like to achieve in Asia?

Both of them met with their fans around Asia regions, starting with 'KyuJong & YoungSaeng AND Story in Seoul' on 4-Dec held at GyeSang Hall, SangMyeong University, Seoul. Thailand in December, then passing through the new year, HongKong and Japan in January, they made memories with their fans. With their last stop in Philippines fan meeting on 3-Feb, they met up with about 15,000 fans in 5 countries.
This fan meeting is their first event with their new agency. This is their first official performance in a year, so they could not hide their expression of excitement. Park Jung Min to hold Japanese showcase
After completing a successful promotion for his solo debut, SS501’s Park Jung Min has headed over to Japan with YAMAHA Music Media for the release of “Not Alone.”
The singer will be holding a celebratory showcase on February 13th in Kobe and on the 14th in Tokyo, and will be performing alongside the Abingdon Boys School’s SUNAO and Toshiyuki Kishi.
