SS501′s Kim Kyu Jong makes an unexpected transformation for solo debut

SS501‘s member Kim Kyu Jong will be the last member of the group to debut as a solo artist. Today, a dramatic photo of the idol with white hair, pearls and a dash of make-up will definitely catch people’s attention.

According to B2M Entertainment, also home to Heo Young Saeng and Lee Hyori, Kim Kyu Jong will be releasing his first solo mini album, ‘Turn Me On’, on Spetember 27th.

With the release of his solo album, all the members of SS501 (Kim Kyu Jong, Park Jung Min, Kim Hyung Joon, Jim Hyun Joong) will all have made their solo debut.

B2M Entertainment stated, “With the other 4 members having made their debut and started promotions, Kim Kyu Jong is now being featured as the last member to comeback as a solo”, and that“Kim Kyu Jong has made his debut as a musical actor in ’2011 Musical Goong’ in the meantime, and has finished all the performances in Korea on the 17th.”

They continued, “Kim Kyu Jong, in order to make a transformation that hasn’t been seen before until now, took an active role in participating in concept meetings and song composition… All album preparations and music video filming have been completed and on the 22nd, ‘Turn Me On’ teaser will be revealed, and album promotions will start.”

Kim Kyu Jong has fans eager with anticipation with the release of a picture from the album jacket, featuring a dramatic transformation that  includes white hair and strong makeup.

Kim Hyunjoong gives a powerful end to Shenzhen concert

Kim Hyunjoong recently participated in a concert alongside a few Chinese singers.

On September 16th, he took to the stage at Shenzhen Bay Sports Center with Shirley Kwan, Sammi Cheng, Fish Leong and Elva Hsiao, four female singers who enjoy immense popularity. Kim Hyunjoong further had the honor of being the last performer of the night, in a move that acknowledged his status as a Hallyu star.

He brought the atmosphere up to a feverish pitch with his performances of "Break Down", "Please" and "Kiss Kiss" -- all tracks from his first mini-album.

Much to the delight of his fans, he delivered his greetings in Mandarin, and expressed his joy at receiving such a warm welcome on his first visit to the city.

The concert reportedly attracted fans from all over the region -- including Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan -- leaving the surrounding hotels fully booked.

Kim Hyun Joong donates $100,000 to charity

SS501′s Kim Hyun Joong donated $100,000 in honor of his loving fans in Asia.

Kim Hyun Joong recently concluded his Asian Tour where he visited seven different countries across Asia, including Japan, China, and Thailand. In conjunction with this tour, he conducted various charity auction events at the local tour locations. All the proceeds from these auction events were donated to charity.

An official at Kim Hyun Joong’s agency, ‘Key East‘ stated, “We conducted an auction on each of the stops for Kim Hyun Joong’s Asian Tour. The total proceeds from the 7 country tour amounted to $100,000 and he sent all the proceeds to charity so it can be used to help the less fortunate. Hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong thought about how to repay all of his fans for the love he has received all over Asia and it was his idea to repay his heartfelt gratitude through this auction“.

It was reported that Kim Hyun Joong donated personable autographed memorabilia including t-shirts, shoes, albums, and various other items for the auction.

Since finishing his Asian tour, Kim Hyun Joong now plans to spend some time with his family for Chuseok. He’s also in preparations to release his second album at the end of the year.
